Georgia head coach Kirby Smart has previously stated his desire to get bigger at the line of scrimmage.
Smart added another piece to that philosophy Tuesday as Georgia secured a verbal commitment from Cedar Grove offensive lineman Netori Johnson.

Johnson is a four-star prospect according to the 247Sports.com composite and is listed at 6-3 ½ and 348 pounds. A big and imposing offensive lineman, Johnson holds 19 offers, including SEC programs Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Mississippi. Before committing to Georgia, Johnson was committed to Alabama before breaking away from the pledge on Feb. 5.
Michigan, Baylor, Oklahoma and Miami have also offered Johnson scholarships.
Johnson is the eighth member of Georgia’s class of 2017. He’s also the second Cedar Grove prospect to pledge to the Bulldogs, joining teammate and fellow offensive lineman Justin Shaffer.
