SEC Network analyst says Jacob Eason 'might be the best passer' in the SEC
Freshman quarterback Jacob Eason earned plenty of praise following his performance at Saturday's G-Day spring game.
One of those admirers is SEC Network analyst Booger McFarland, a former LSU defensive tackle, who tweeted a strong statement about Eason compared to the rest of the quarterbacks in the SEC.
Jacob Eason might be the best passer in SEC already, doesn't mean he is the best QB but he can spin it

Truthfully, SEC quarterback play was lackluster in totality during the 2015 season. In 2016, there may not be any additional strides made. Therefore, Eason, if he winds up being Georgia's starter, could have a chance to jump into the upper echelon of signal callers in the conference.
Mississippi's Chad Kelly (4,042 passing yards, 31 touchdowns, 13 interceptions) and Tennessee's Joshua Dobbs (2,291 passing yards, 15 touchdowns, 5 interceptions; 671 rushing yards, 11 touchdowns) figure to be the SEC's top two returning quarterbacks.
After those two, there aren't any other proven returning quarterbacks in the SEC.
Georgia's Greyson Lambert finished the 2015 season with 1,959 passing yards, 12 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in 12 starts but has found himself in yet another quarterback competition with Eason and Brice Ramsey.
Eason went 19-of-29 passing for 244 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's G-Day spring game, and had plenty of high-level passes to show for it. He did hold the ball too long and take some sacks on occasion, which is one of many reasons why head coach Kirby Smart isn't remotely close to naming him the starter at this juncture.
"What I see going into fall camp is three guys that have three different traits," Smart said. "All three of them got some growing to do. I want to see them improve."
