Georgia defensive tackle Trenton Thompson was present and participating during Wednesday's team practice.

Thompson wasn't spotted during Monday's practice when reporters were able to observe. The junior from Albany has dealt with injuries throughout his career, but he has usually been able to bounce back from them.

This season, Thompson has recorded 33 total tackles. He was named the Liberty Bowl MVP last December after recording three sacks in a win over TCU.

Earlier this season, Thompson missed two games due to a sprained knee. In previous seasons, Thompson has dealt with injuries to both shoulders and both ankles.

Also participating at practice was fullback Christian Payne, who missed the SEC Championship due to an undisclosed injury. When Payne was out, running back Elijah Holyfield filled in as the team's fullback in his place.

Freshman defensive back Deangelo Gibbs was not present for practice and it is unknown when he will return. On Tuesday, Dawgs247.com reported that Gibbs has a "medical issue" and won't be participating at practice in the near future.

This was Georgia's sixth practice since the SEC Championship win over Auburn. With Athens experiencing a large amount of rain, the Bulldogs were forced to practice inside the indoor practice facility.
