Georgia added a big player to its class of 2017 on Monday.

At noon, Cedar Grove offensive lineman Justin Shaffer announced he has committed to Georgia. He recently picked up a scholarship from new head coach Kirby Smart. Shaffer came to Athens to visit Georgia's campus over the weekend.

Shaffer was previously committed to Louisville, with Smart and his staff able to flip the local prospect.

"I have talked with my family and coaches and we believe I have an opportunity that I (can't) pass up," Shaffer wrote on his Twitter account. "With this being said I will be decommitting from Louisville and committing to the University of Georgia."

At 6-5 and 330 pounds, Shaffer fits the mold of the type of linemen Smart and offensive line coach Sam Pittman are looking for. As of now, he likely translates to guard at the next level.
