LAWRENCEVILLE -- While E.J. Price will be more than 2,000 miles away, his biggest fan said he would still travel to every one of his games.

Logan Sage is 10 years old and has not missed a single game of Price's in the past two years, so he said it should be no problem to make the trek to Los Angles to go see his favorite player at USC as Price announced as his program of choice Wednesday afternoon.

"I told him, 'Anywhere you go dude will be fine with me,' " Sage said.

Sage, who lives in Jackson County, said he met Price two years ago when the two were working out at Georgia Sports Performance in Lawrenceville. The young boy who was 8 approached a group of high-schoolers Price was with. Price said Sage walked up to him and blurted out that he was Price's biggest fan and ever since then the two have been best of friends.

"Logan is my guy," Price said. "He always tells me what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong."

For two years, Sage's parents took Logan all over the state and the South to watch his idol play as the family joined Price as he went to St. Petersburg to play in the All-American game.

But it hasn't just been a one-sided relationship. Price has made sure to go to every one of Logan's baseball and football games that he can attend. And after his official visit to Georgia on Sunday, the first place he went when he got home was Sage's 10th birthday party.

"I have to support him," Price said. "I have to let him know I am his biggest fan just like he is mine."

Price said he talked with Sage often while trying to make his decision and knew Sage would be thrilled wherever he decided to attend, even if it was all the way across the country. The 6-foot-6, 324-pound offensive tackle said even though he will be in California, he would always make time to communicate with his little friend and Sage hopes to do the same.

"I have his phone number," Sage said. "Well at least my mom does."

The 10-year-old couldn't stop smiling after Price announced his USC decision and although he couldn't be happier with the result, he said it would be hard not having Price around.

"I will miss him a lot," Sage said. "Those four years in college he is going to like it there. He is going to love it there."

The whole Price family has taken a liking to Sage. Schenik Allen, Price's mother, said Sage could join the family any time he would like when they go see Price play.

"You gotta love this guy," she said while giving Sage a high-five.

And Sage is ready and willing to take Allen up on that offer, but he will have to check with his mom first.
