Recruiting: Georgia flips commit away from South Carolina
ATHENS - Chauncey Rivers, a defensive end from Stone MOuntain who had been committed to South Carolina, changed his mind and is now committed to Georgia, per multiple reports.
Rivers is rated a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite. He is currently a junior at Stephenson High School.
This brings Georgia's commitments for the 2015 class to five:
Terry Godwin, an athlete from Hogansville, is rated a five-star by the 247Sports Composite. Cornerback Rico McGraw (Nashville, Tenn.), receiver Christian Owens (Griffin) and Rivers are four stars. And offensive lineman DeVondre Seymour (Hinds Community College in Mississippi) is a three-star.
Seymour signed with Georgia last year but did not academically qualify.
