Final thoughts: Bulldogs vs. Razorbacks
1. Is it finally D’Wan Mathis’ time? Arkansas coach Sam Pittman said he’s happy for the quarterback recovering from a brain cyst, but can Mathis effectively lead Georgia’s offense? It’ll be interesting to see how different the offense looks with a dual-threat signal caller and Todd Monken calling plays.
2. Where could the Bulldogs expect a newcomer to emerge? Jermaine Burton and Marcus Rosemy have been trendy names at receivers, and Jalen Carter has impressed on the defensive line throughout practice.
3. Does this game look a lot like the Vanderbilt game last season? Probably so. Don’t be surprised if the margin is smaller than you’d expect. Arkansas is an inferior opponent, and Kirby Smart could have a bland approach to his offensive scheme in week one.
