Georgia QB Jake Fromm’s 2020 resolution brings ESPN reporter to tears ahead of Sugar Bowl

Jake Fromm made the Sugar Bowl a bit sweeter Tuesday night while explaining his New Year’s resolutions with an ESPN reporter.

The Georgia quarterback and former Houston County standout brought journalist Holly Rowe to tears after she asked him how he always remains so positive.

“It’s the holy spirit in me,” Fromm said. “I’m just trying to influence others and build relationships with others and hope they can see Christ in me.”

Rowe choked up before telling Fromm he made her cry, then asked about his New Year’s resolution.

Fromm didn’t talk about about football.

He said he wanted to “live out the best we can” and “lead people to Jesus.”

Rowe’s interview with Fromm in New Orleans was recorded on video and shared on Twitter. It had been watched over 100,000 times by Wednesday morning.

A handful of key players likely won’t take the field for the Dawgs as No. 5 UGA faces No. 7 Bayor in the Sugar Bowl Wednesday night. But Fromm told Rowe that he’s hopeful his team will come out on top.

“They’re ready to go out and play,” he said. “They’re going to play great. Ready for a good outcome.”
