Mercer to break ground June 24 on OrthoGeorgia Park
Mercer will conduct a formal groundbreaking for its new baseball facility, OrthoGeorgia Park, at 6:30 p.m. on June 24.
The ceremony will precede the university’s annual athletics fundraiser, the Big Bear Event.
According to a release, OrthoGeorgia Park, which will be built on the site of the current Claude Smith Field, will seat 1,500 and will feature new dugouts, concession stands, restrooms, two open-air suites and a new press box.
The Big Bear Event features a $10,000 reverse raffle. Tickets are $100. For more information, contact Myra Cameron at 478-301-2733.
