Mercer baseball heads to Georgia Southern

The Mercer baseball team travels to Statesboro on Tuesday for a 6 p.m. matchup with Georgia Southern at J.I. Clements Stadium.

Right-hander Taylor Lobus is expected to start for Mercer (20-13), while right-hander Lawson Humphries is expected to take the mound for the Eagles (18-14).

Georgia Southern leads the all-time series between the two schools, 116-46-2, including an 11-10 win on March 15 in Macon. The Bears, however, have won five of the past seven meetings, including a 4-1 win in Statesboro last season.
