Mercer beach volleyball falls to Stetson

The Mercer beach volleyball team closed out the regular season Tuesday with two losses to ninth-ranked Stetson.

Stetson won the first contest 4-1 and the second contest 5-0. Emma Peel and Sophie Peel claimed a 21-11, 21-19 victory in the No. 2 match of the first contest.

Three of the five matches in the first contest went to three sets, as did two of the matches in the second contest.

Mercer (8-11, 2-6 A-Sun) is off until the A-Sun championship April 22-24 in Emerson.
