The Mercer women’s basketball team will take on Georgia Southern University in the Bears’ home opener at 7 p.m. Thursday at Hawkins Arena.
The Bears have already notched two wins on the road, beating the University of Central Florida 73-64 and Florida Atlantic University 66-55.

Means had 15 points and 12 assists in the team’s victory at UCF, two assists shy of her career best, according to a Southern Conference press release.
