Fort Valley State announces finalists for football head coaching spot

Fort Valley State announced Tuesday it will hold a forum with the three finalists for its football head coaching opening May 31.

The three finalists are Kevin Porter, Charlie Jackson and Joshua Dean. Donald Pittman was fired by the school in March.

Porter is the head coach at Point, while Dean is the former head coach at Kentucky State and Jackson works at the NCAA as a member of the College a Football Rules Enforcement Group and has college experience with several programs.

The forum will start at 1:30 p.m. at C.W. Pettigrew Auditorium.
