Miller to coach GMC golf
Josh Miller, a 2010 Georgia College graduate, has been named the golf head coach at GMC, the college announced Wednesday.
Miller, who had worked on Georgia College’s information technology staff and was a part-time faculty member in the College of Education there, was on the coaching staff of the GMC Prep golf team this spring. He helped lead the Bulldogs to a third-place tie in GHSA Class A Public boys competition.
The college’s golf program will be moving into a new indoor facility, the Mason Golf Performance Lab, and the college is slated to host a tournament for the first time next spring at Harbor Club at Lake Oconee.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to take the golf program at GMC to the next level and excited to get to work with the great talent that we have coming in this year,” Miller said in a release. “The facilities here on campus and the partnerships we have made in the local golf community will give us the tools we need to immediately compete at a high level.”
