GMC softball team headed to national championship
The GMC softball team made history Sunday as it beat South Georgia 8-3 to win the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association title and advance to the NJCAA Division I Softball National Championship.
The Bulldogs’ first trip to the national tournament will be held May 18-21 in St. George, Utah.
In the win over South Georgia, the Bulldogs (35-22) scored four first-inning runs. Jordan Crews had three RBI on three hits with a double in the third inning and a single in the first and fifth, while Jade Moncrief hit a home run.
