Georgia College’s Shanteona Keys earns top Division II honor

The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association recently announced its Regional Scholar-Athlete of the Year award-winners, with Georgia College women’s basketball player Shanteona Keys earning honors for Southeast Region female.

A conference honoree for the NCAA Woman of the Year, Keys leaves Georgia College as one of the most decorated student-athletes in Peach Belt Conference history. Winner of the women’s basketball Peach Belt Elite 15 Award for the second time in March, she graduated with a degree in mass communication and a 4.00 GPA. She was named a Capital One Academic All-American twice and a finalist for the Arthur Ashe Leadership Award.
