Georgia College basketball schedules set
Basketball season is right around the corner, and the schedules are set for the Georgia College men and women.
The men get going first, taking on Pfeiffer in the Conference Carolinas/Peach Belt Conference Challenge on Nov. 11 in North Carolina, playing Emmanuel a day later.
The women take part in the same event a week later, but in Dahlonega, facing Emmanuel and then Auburn-Montgomery.
The men host Morehouse on Nov. 15 in the home opener before embarking on a three-game road trip before a four-game homestand, during which Peach Belt play begins, on Dec. 14 against Armstrong State.
The women have two more road games after the crossover, albeit not far away, before the home opener on Nov. 30 against Tuskegee. Before that, the women visit Albany State and Clark Atlanta.
The Bobcats men hope to improve on last season's 18-11 record as head coach Mark Gainous enters his third season. Four seniors, including all-conference wing Terrell Harris, have graduated.
The women went 16-13 and reached the conference tournament quarterfinals. They had two seniors on last year's roster, and one player scheduled to return is former Veterans standout forward Jayln Slaughter.
