Georgia Tech baseball improves to 3-0

Eight different Yellow Jackets registered at least two hits, while Matt Gonzalez and Trevor Craport each drove in three runs Sunday in 21st-ranked Georgia Tech's 9-1 win over VCU in Atlanta.

The win completed a three-game weekend sweep of Georgia Tech's Atlanta Challenge opponents (Purdue, Western Michigan and VCU). During the season-opening weekend at Russ Chandler Stadium, the Jackets scored 27 runs on 45 hits in three games.

Georgia Tech travels to Georgia Southern on Wednesday.
