Georgia Tech enters final full week of preseason

Georgia Tech entered its final full week of the preseason Monday with a two-hour practice on Alexander Rose Bowl Field.

The Yellow Jackets open their season Sept. 3 against Alcorn State.

Monday’s practice included some work on fourth downs and ended with on 11-on-11 period that focused on two-point conversion plays.

The Yellow Jackets continue to search for help at receiver. Junior Micheal Summers is back, sophomore Ricky Juene and freshman Brad Stewart have been playing well. Head coach Paul Johnson announced that redshirt freshman defensive back Jalen Johnson has been moved to receiver.

“It’s still a big jumble behind the first three,” Johnson said.. “We moved Jalen Johnson there to see if he could beat the other guys out. He was a receiver in high school, so we’ll give him a chance.”
