Treutlen sweeps to state title

Treutlen made the most of playing at home, knocking off Trion 3-0 and 6-2 to win the GHSA Class A public baseball championship Saturday.

It's the program’s first state title.

Treutlen finished the season 28-5.

The Vikings didn't lose a game in the playoffs, sweeping series with Miller County, Irwin County and Schley County before winning the championship series.

Treutlen lost to Schley County in three games last year in a semifinal series.
