Summer bowling leagues can improve game

Many bowlers put their ball in the closet as soon as the winter season ends in May. They simply don’t worry about their game until the new season begins in late August or early September.

Summer leagues offer a chance to get an upper hand by working on your biggest weaknesses or experimenting with a different ball or perhaps changing your release or grip. Several leagues are now starting for interested bowlers. These leagues offer a wide variety of options — mixed, seniors, scotch doubles, sport shot, youth and youth/adult. Inquiries can be made at the Gold Cup Bowling Center on Pio Nono Avenue in Macon (781-2096), Gold Cup Bowling Center on Russell Parkway in Warner Robins (922-3054) and Robins Base Lanes (936-2112).

Activity in league bowling is slim during this time due to the end of the winter season and the start of the summer season.
