Central Georgia Athletics in GICAA baseball championship

A pair of dominating wins last week has Central Georgia Athletics in this week's GICAA Division II AA title baseball series.

The Mustangs thumped Cornerstone Prep 10-0 and 22-3 on Friday to improve to 20-1-2, taking advantage of 15 errors by Cornerstone in the two games.

Central Georgia Athletics will play at The King's Academy, with the series starting on Friday. King's beat New Creation Christian Academy.

Marshall Thompson struck out 14 batters in the Mustangs' first-game win, Central Georgia scoring three in the first and five in the third to take control.

The Mustangs were up 15-3 after three innings of the five-inning nightcap. Matthew Braswell, who struck out two of the three batters he faced to finish the game had four RBI and Tim Howard five.

Braswell had a triple and Howard a homer.
