Mount de Sales senior Tres Hattaway to join Mercer football program

Mount de Sales senior Tres Hattaway will sign with Mercer’s football program April 26 as a walk-on with an academic scholarship package, Mount de Sales announced Tuesday.

Hattaway was Mount de Sales’ top receiver last year, racking up 417 yards and three touchdowns.

Defensively, Hattaway lined up at strong safety, recording 50 tackles and three takeaways as a senior.

His older brother, Seth, was a member of Mercer’s first modern football team in 2013 before going on a two-year mission.
