William Smith records another 800 series in Macon

William Smith III continues to excel as he posted the ninth 800 series of the year, This followed his 800 set recorded the prior week. All this came in the Wednesday Night Mixed league at the Macon Gold Cup Center. This time he scored a perfect game (the 32nd of the season) avoiding the 299 game he rolled the previous week.

TWO MORE 300S

Justin Gordon and Micah Spears were super in posting the 33rd and 34th perfect games of the year. Gordon rolled his in the Kings and Queens league at the Russell Gold Cup Parkway in Warner Robins. Spears' perfect game was in the Tuesday Peterson Point league at the Robins AFB Center.

USBC REVOKES APPROVAL

The United States Bowling Congress (USBC) has revoked the approval of two Motiv brand bowling balls, the Jackal and Jackal Carnage. These have been removed from the list of balls approved for competition and can no longer be used in league play. This became effective March 15.

MACON ACTION

Al Nunez (759) and Michael Gosnell (703/278 game) were on fire in the Commercial Tenpin league. Erie Chisolm had a nice 280 game for the Outsiders. Wednesday produced a plethora of high scores - Jerod Dumas (780/278 game), Travis Patterson (759 and 708), Kevin Huffman (75 1/279 game), Terry Johnson (719/275 game), Doug Cox (705), Bryan Wimberly (704/298 game) and James Rosario (277 game). Leading the Thursday bowlers was Bennie Perkins (703). Cohen Bickley (789 and 702/287 game) was super in multiple leagues. Other leaders were Derek Leslie (699), David Hutcherson (697), Kevin Huffman (693), Jerod Dumas (685), Alfy Nunez (684), Ryan Alley (681), Bill Johnson (681), Michael Gosnell (679), Arnita West (592) and Kim Smith (577). WARNER ROBINS ACTION

Stephen Lackey Jr. (752) led the Kings and Queens. Mike Handley (769/279 game), Armando Moore (727) and Conal Jackson (289 game) topped the Men's Commercial bowlers. Terry Johnson (719), Karley Bowie (661), Kim Conger (644), Arnita West (606/259 game) and Byron Fuller (279 game) scored among the New Kids in the Alley. Four bowlers paced the Town and Country group -- Kevin Dimuzio (726/279 game), Tracy Gassett (684/279 game), Kimberly Conger (642) and William Amaral (278 game). Rolling high scores in multiple leagues were Corey Conger (715 and 711) and Cathy Copeland (663 and 653). Other high bowlers were Bob Morgan (679), John Trichinotis (678), Amy Handley (584) and Maggie Pope (578). John Fisher (655/276 game), Lamar Pipkin (612), Arlene Todd (575) and Shari Rawls (568) led the seniors. Posting nice scores in the Intramurals were Jimmy Jean (784/289 game), Kyle Hering (704) and Charisse Bruce (605). The Peterson Point stars were Jim Fee Jr. (746) and Armando Moore (299 game). Scoring on Friday were Courtney StCyr (738/289 game), Cady Russell (687/268 game), Michele Sierak (639) and Brandon Houston (276 game). David Myrick (789 and 762) was tops in two leagues. Other leading sets came from Steve Putnam (695) and Si Dyer (578). Cara Stasel (603/279 game) was high for the youth.
