Two Macon tennis players claim titles in South Carolina

Two competitors from Macon claimed victories in the Southern Senior Clay Court Closed tennis tournament last weekend in Kiawah Island, South Carolina.

Randy Stephens teamed with Johns Creek's John Callen to beat Herb Cooper and Tom Meigs 6-4, 6-4 to win the 60-year-old men's doubles title, a draw that featured six teams.

Ken Nelson defeated Atlanta's Jack Heisel 6-2, 6-1 to win the 80-year-old men's singles title in a two-player draw.
