Mother and son achieve perfection in same bowling league
The Copeland family moved to Middle Georgia from Minnesota several years ago. The entire family is made up of bowlers who participate in multiple leagues, as well as remain active in the Middle Georgia Association. On Oct. 6, Chris Gould posted his third perfect game (second this year) in the Kings and Queens league at the Warner Robins Gold Cup center. Not to be outdone, his mother Cathy Copeland scored her first 300 (season's ninth) in the same league one week later. Perfect games for women are a rarity, This is only the sixth perfect game ever bowled by a woman in Warner Robins and the 10th in the entire Middle Georgia area.
THREE MORE 300 GAMES
The 10th, 11th and 12th perfect games of the current season were recorded by Jerod Dumas (New Kids on the Block league), Chuck Hebenstreit (Men's Commercial) and Vic Conner (Intramurals). The first two were recorded in Warner Robins with the third at Robins AFB.

TOOLS OF THE TRADE
Q: I have heard the expression -- a no tap game. What does this mean?
A: The common terminology in bowling is if you strike the pocket and only knock down 9 pins, you have been tapped. In a no tap game, you can knock down 9 pins and still get a strike count.
