OG Anunoby Sends Message of Appreciation to Knicks Fans
OG Anunoby was the New York Knicks‘ hero in Game 4 of the NBA Finals.
Anunoby put the finishing touches on a historic comeback, tipping in a missed Jalen Brunson 3-point attempt with just over one second remaining in the fourth quarter. This unforgettable tip gave the Knicks a one-point lead, completely erasing the San Antonio Spurs‘ 29-point lead.
The Knicks secured a 107-106 final score at Madison Square Garden, taking a 3-1 lead in the championship series.
The roof nearly came off the building at MSG after Anunoby’s game-winning tip. After a brutal first half, the Knicks gave their fans something to cheer for as they mounted the largest comeback in NBA Finals history.
Anunoby delivered a message of appreciation to Knicks fans during his postgame press conference.
“We have the best fans in the world,” Anunoby said. “Every night, they’re showing out - even the fans that aren’t at the game, they’re crazy. I know you guys have seen the videos of the fans in the streets and stuff. It’s amazing. We all feel it.”
