Victor Wembanyama Joined David Robinson in Elite NBA History After Game 3
Victor Wembanyama led the San Antonio Spurs to victory in Game 3 of the NBA Finals, securing a 115-111 final score over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Wembanyama finished the game with 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three blocks - continuing his outstanding play throughout the 2026 playoffs. In his first 20 career postseason games, the 7-foot-4 Frenchman is averaging 24.1 points, 10.6 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.
These incredible stats have Wembanyama side by side with Spurs legend David Robinson - the only other player in NBA history to record at least 450 points, 200 rebounds and 70 blocks through his first 20 career playoff games.
“THE ADMIRAL AND THE ALIEN,” the NBA wrote in a social media post. “Victor Wembanyama joins David Robinson as the only players since blocks were officially recorded in 1973-74 to put up 450+ PTS, 200+ REB and 70+ BLK through the first 20 Playoff games of their careers!”
