Yankees Legend Sends Message After Unfortunate Aaron Judge News
There's no question that Aaron Judge has helped lead the New York Yankees to a 37-25 record for second place in the American League East. The 34-year-old slugger carries a .248 batting average, .375 on-base percentage, a .533 slugging percentage with 17 home runs and 43 RBIs in 59 games this season.
The three-time AL MVP brings a .297 batting average with 1.056 OPS during Yankee wins in 2026. However, after missing consecutive days of action, the team confirmed that Judge has a stress fracture in his right rib cage and was placed on the 10-day injured list. The Yankees said that he will be kept out of all baseball activities for four to six weeks before he is reevaluated.
Former Yankees ace CC Sabathia, who won a World Series with the club in 2009, reacted to the news on X.
"We're gonna learn a lot about this team in the next few months," Sabathia wrote.
Sabathia spent the final 11 seasons of his career in New York after signing before 2009, helping the Yankees win their 27th World Series title that year, and retired in 2019. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame last July as a first-ballot selection.

The Yankees have been able to hold their own without Judge in the lineup in the past, with a record of 198-178. For now, the team will have to rely on its strong lineup and pitching staff to maintain its position in the AL East while he recovers.
