NASCAR Fans Push Back On Bubba Wallace's Complaint After Nashville
Bubba Wallace had a tough day in Nashville on Sunday.
The 23XI Racing driver had a DNF (did not finish) at the Cracker Barrel 400 in Nashville on Sunday night. Wallace was once again involved in a big collision that led to his day ending. His No. 23 Toyota car has been on the receiving end of a lot of unfortunate crashouts so far this year.
Wallace isn't happy. He knows that he's become the "bad guy" in many of these crashes. And he doesn't like it.
"Just minding our own business yet again," Wallace explained after the race. "Another week that our team doesn't get the finish that we deserve. I'm tired, man. It's hard to be in the same boat constantly every week and you gotta figure out how to put it behind you and show up.
"I somehow become the bad guy days following this. So, I gotta figure out how to be better and learn from it. It's really freaking hard when you're driving your best and just trying to make progress throughout the race and you get wiped out. So, onto Michigan."
NASCAR fans, unsurprisingly, don't like Bubba accusing them of always making him the "bad guy" in these situations.
They're pushing back.
NASCAR fans push back on Bubba's 'bad guy' accusation
NASCAR fans have taken to social media to weigh in on Bubba Wallace's complaint and accusation.
They don't like it.
"Hey Bubba, Tyler has won 5 races THIS YEAR, in the exact same equipment. That's two more than you have won in your CAREER. Guess what, at some point you need to see the common denominator in all of this...and that's YOU," one fan said, talking about his teammate, Tyler Reddick.
"Excuses... blame... couldn't possibly by anything to do with him, right? Uh huh. Racing is a contact sport. He's not the only driver who's ever had troubles so he needs to just be quiet and drive better," another wrote.
"I really wanted to be a Bubba Wallace fan. But then he talked. Always excuses, always blaming everyone else, bad attitude. Nevermind," one fan added.
"Wallace has blames everyone else now it's the fans he should face the facts he's a poor driver at best," another fan wrote.
