Joy Behar Calls Out Giants Quarterback Jaxson Dart For 'Stupid' Decision
On the heels of the online discourse over Giants QB Jaxson Dart's support of President Donald Trump, Joy Behar of The View is speaking out against the Big Blue signal caller.
On Tuesday's edition of the show, Behar accused Dart of "stupidity and racism" for supporting Trump given some of his past statements and social media posts. She joked that Dart may need "a little extra padding" and warned that other players might try to hurt him over what he said.
"For somebody to back a guy like Trump whose history, and discrimination, and racism goes back to housing discrimination in the '70s and DEI attacks and posting pictures of the Obamas as apes," Behar said.
"When [Dart's] on a team that's 55-percent to 60-percent of the NFL… of black guys. That is just the definition of stupidity and racism.
"Maybe he needs a little extra padding."
Non-Issue?
Judging by the response on WFAN, the larger media figures are already defending Dart and are more upset at the people who are upset at him by now. Users on social media also dismissed Behar's remarks, stating that Dart's views are more widely supported than she realizes and mocking her for her own views.
"Who watches The View anyways? These women are irrelevant," one user said dismissively.
"If anyone took liberties with him they'd be cut on the spot. These players value their employment and weekly checks over their dislike of President," another remarked.
"I guess nobody told them that calling people they disagree with racist doesnt work anymore. Let them keep using it. They clearly don't understand lmao," a third wrote.
But if Behar thinks that this is an issue in the locker room, she hasn't been paying attention. Veterans of the locker room have stated point blank that they're fine with it.
Even Abdul Carter, a member of the Giants who initially expressed some disagreement with, has publicly stated that he's mended the fence with Dart after a simple conversation with the man.
Behar is simply not in the majority as far as people who are still bothered by this.
