2025-26 MDJ Scholar Athletes
The 2025-26 Marietta Daily Journal Scholar Athletes honors the graduating seniors from Cobb County.
The student-athletes are selected based on a student's ability to flourish in the classroom and on the playing fields, tracks, courts, pools and mats throughout their high school career.
To be an MDJ Scholar Athlete, the student must be a graduating senior, he/she had to have a grade-point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale and they must have competed in at least two varsity sports or cheerleading during their final year in school.
The MDJ included every student submitted by the athletic directors that met the required criteria.
Some student's grade-point averages were higher than 4.0 due to Advanced Placement classes.
Students not nominated by an athletic director were ineligible for consideration.
