Victor Wembanyama Joins David Robinson in Elite NBA Playoff History
Victor Wembanyama has been elite in his first career playoff appearance thus far, averaging 22.1 points, 12.3 rebounds and four blocks per game through his first 12 postseason contests.
These averages have resulted in some historic numbers for Wembanyama. The 22-year-old Frenchman already has 265 playoff points and 48 playoff blocks, joining all-time great San Antonio superstar David Robinson as the only other player in NBA history to record at least 250 points and 45 blocks through their first 12 postseason games.
The NBA recognized this historic milestone before Friday’s Game 3 matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

Wembanyama seems to be making NBA history at every turn. 12 of the 7-foot-4 center’s 48 playoff blocks came in a single game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Round 2, setting a new all-time, single-game NBA playoff record.
Wembanyama delivered a masterful performance in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, leading the Spurs to a double-overtime victory with 41 points and 24 rebounds. Though San Antonio fell in Game 2, he posted another solid performance with 21 points, 17 rebounds and four blocks.

The series is now tied at 1-1 as it heads to San Antonio for Game 3 and Game 4.
