Deion Sanders' Son Announces Major Career News After NFL Exit
NFL legend Deion Sanders has helped his family become some of the biggest stars in the sports world. His youngest son, Shedeur Sanders, had a phenomenal collegiate career and is now a quarterback with the Cleveland Browns. His second son, Shilo Sanders, also had a successful career in college.
He played two years with the South Carolina Gamecocks before transferring to the Colorado Buffaloes, where he played under his father. In two seasons with Colorado, the defensive back played 21 games, totaling 137 tackles, five forced fumbles, five pass breakups and one interception.
Sanders signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after not being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. However, he did not see any game action in the regular season, as he was cut during the preseason.
Since being cut by the Buccaneers before last NFL season, he has not signed a contract with any other team in the league.
Sanders had been training to return before the 2026 season began; however, he revealed that he has stopped pursuing that dream.
"It takes a special kind of guy to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I don't think there's any light in my tunnel," he said, according to Yahoo Sports.

This realization from Sanders most likely means the end of his short-lived career in professional football. While his brother, Shedeur Sanders, has a chance of starting at quarterback for the Browns in the 2026 season, Shilo Sanders will probably not suit up for a regular-season NFL game.
Sanders is continuing his career as a content creator with his YouTube channel, which has over 300,000 subscribers.
