Paige Bueckers Announces Her Relationship Status In Official Statement Monday

Paige Bueckers officially announced her relationship status on Monday.

The Dallas Wings star has been the subject of a lot of questions since her franchise drafted her rumored girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft earlier this month.

Fudd, via instruction from her team's PR department, refused to answer questions about their rumored relationship at her introductory press conference. But Bueckers opened up about things on Monday.

The former UConn Huskies star confirmed that she is in a personal relationship with Fudd. However, she doesn't plan on addressing it any further.

Bueckers made it clear that this will be the last time she's addressing it.

"Quite frankly, I believe me and Azzi's personal relationship is nobody's business but our own. And what we choose to share is completely up to us. We've never let anything that happens off the court carry onto the court, and that's what we'll continue to do. Azzi Fudd was the No. 1 draft pick because she earned it, and it had nothing to do with me and everything to do with who she is as a human being, who she is as a basketball player."

Bueckers promises to be the standard of professionalism

Bueckers is confident their relationship will not impact their on-play performance.

"Me and Azzi have always been the utmost professional," she said. "We've always conducted ourselves as such, and we've never let anything that happens off the court carry onto the court. That's what we continue to do.

"Me and Azzi are not new to this. We've been doing this for a long time. We have countless reps at it. We have a lot of experience with it, so we will continue to use that experience to show up and be professionals, great teammates, great leaders, the hardest workers, and continue to show up and do our job and help the Dallas Wings win basketball games."
