Here’s how to get tickets for Georgia’s championship parade, stadium celebration

After winning their second consecutive National Championship in a 65-7 rout of TCU Monday night, the Georgia Bulldogs will host another championship parade and celebration Saturday in Athens.

The parade will start at 12:30 p.m. Saturday and trek through most of the university’s campus, according to a map from the school. The route starts north of campus and travels down Lumpkin Street until 1 p.m., when the Dawg Walk begins.

The Dawg Walk then travels from the end of Baxter Street through the Tate Student Center to Sanford Stadium, where a celebration will begin at 2 p.m. The South entrances and seats of the stadium are closed due to renovations, but the rest of the stadium will be open during the celebration.

Tickets to the celebration are free. Season ticket holders got early access to tickets beginning 9 a.m. Tuesday, but other fans can access the free tickets at 9 a.m. Thursday.

The campus will open to visitors at 7 a.m. Saturday, with parking available on a first-come-first-served basis.
