Middle Georgia’s top high school football prospect has officially chosen a college, as 4-star defensive end Victor Burley committed to Clemson for the 2023 season.

“Just the Clemson structure,” Burley said after his announcement on CBS Sports HQ. “What they have there is similar to what we have here at Warner Robins, just the focus on the player and personal development there drew me in, too.”

Burley, a star senior at Warner Robins High School, selected Clemson over three other schools which included Georgia as a possibility along with Michigan State and Tennessee. He also received offers from schools such as Alabama and Ohio State. The decision comes amid a flood of decisions by top college recruits in recent weeks.

Burley starred for the Demons and helped the team to multiple state championships, earning himself the No. 61 ranking in the ESPN300 in the process. He was also one of the top three recruits in Georgia during his recruitment.
