Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh was spotted in Macon Wednesday. Here’s what he was doing
One of the top college football coaches was spotted around Macon on Wednesday including at Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen in downtown Macon.
Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh came into town for the Mercer Mega Camp, a football camp for high school players around the country to showcase their skills in front of more than 50 different colleges.
Programs from some of the top conferences in the country sent representatives to the camp including Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, Miami and Georgia Tech. Harbaugh was the biggest household name seen out on the field.
After the camp, the Wolverines’ head coach stopped by Piedmont Brewery and Kitchen for dinner.
Michigan ended last season on a roll with wins over Ohio State and Iowa in the Big 10 title game before ultimately falling to Georgia in Orange Bowl as part of the College Football Playoffs.
Mercer football is set to hold another camp June 3 with around 40 schools represented including Minnesota, Mississippi State and Cincinnati.
The Bears will start their season on Aug. 27 against Morehead State before traveling to Auburn on Sept. 3.
