Adidas teams up with Waffle House on a shoe for the Masters. It’s already sold out.
Is it possible for a shoe to make you … hungry? Asking for a friend.
Adidas has released their sauciest — or should I say, syrup-iest — shoe yet with the new Waffle House-themed golf shoe.
Adidas tweeted a video of the shoe surrounded by Waffle House’s classic cravings on April 4 and noted the shoe is a limited edition that would release Thursday, the first day of the Masters golf tournament in Georgia.
According to their website, the shoe is already sold out for both men and women’s sizes — but you can still get a small taste of the details here.
The Look
The shoe, which is light beige with golden accents, has a surprisingly yummy looking bottom. The bottom sole of the shoe appears to have syrup encased in it, easily making it a Waffle House fan’s dream.
The shoes look good enough to eat in the photos posted on Twitter by Tom VanHaaren which features Waffle House’s famous waffles, coffee and of course, syrup.
The Feel
Sure the look is great, but what about the feel? Well, these shoes just keep getting better.
“They’re made with a BOOST midsole for energy return and enhanced comfort. The 360Wrap design locks in and supports your feet through 18 holes and beyond,” said the retailer.
The shoe also features a sockliner that cradles the contours of the foot for extra cushioning and Spikemore, a traction system with cleats directly injected onto the base of the shoe for a great grip throughout.
The Material
The look and feel is just beginning. Adidas explains that 25% of the material used to make the upper are made with at least 50% recycled content.
In addition, the retailer cut scraps and used other leftover materials to create the shoe, so as to cut down on the environmental impacts of production.
So, we just have one question: what’s not to love?
