The Middle Georgia basketball season has come to a close after months of jaw-dropping dunks, clutch shots, big wins and heartbreaking defeats.

Northeast and FPD each advanced to the Final 4 but each fell a game short of reaching the title game but still put together great seasons.

The season saw great play from all over the area. Our race for the staff’s choice for Player of the Year was tightly contested with Travion Solomon and Jay King sharing the award. Tattnall’s Antone Johnson grabbed the Freshman of the Year honors.

Zion Davis from Dublin won the Fan’s Choice Player of the Year award. Kevin Grooms took home the coach of year award after guiding Northeast to the Final Four.

The top player award winners were not added to the first and second-team lists, as they are already a part of the All-Middle Georgia team.
