Middle GA basketball players had a great season. Here are the best players from 2021-22

The Middle Georgia basketball season has officially wrapped up, and it was an exciting one for local teams. Middle Georgia had a trio of girls basketball teams reach the Final Four this year: the Northeast girls, Baldwin girls and Warner Robins girls each fell a game short of reaching the title game but still put together great seasons.

The season saw great play from all over the area. Our race for the staff’s choice for Player of the Year was tightly contested with Jakia Little beating out players like Houston County’s Jordyn Johnson and Laila Harvey from Stratford. Harvey did grab the Freshman of the Year honors.

Taliah Grier from Central won the Fan’s Choice Player of the Year award. Rebecca White took home the coach of year honors after guiding Warner Robins to the Final Four.

The top player award winners were not added to the first and second-team lists, as they are already a part of the All-Middle Georgia team.
