This Waffle House in Middle Georgia to feature a special Valentine’s Day dinner

Waffle Houses across the United States will be serving a Valentine’s Day dinner this year, but only one location in Middle Georgia is preparing for the special night.

The Waffle House at 286 North Lee St. in Forsyth is taking reservations for its 2020 Valentine’s Day Dinner.

Customers can reserve a booth for Feb. 14 and order dinner-for-two specials on the romantic night, manager Shane Woodall said.

“I think a lot of people have a connection with Waffle House. Everyone has a good Waffle House story,” he said. “A lot of people are going to take them out to a fine-dining restaurant, but I think Waffle House will be one of those that people are going to remember.”

The tables will be covered with white table cloths, and they will have a photo booth with Waffle House frames for couples.

Only a day after opening the reservations for the dinner on Jan. 22, the Waffle House in Forsyth already had two reservations, Woodall said.

Reservations can be made from 5-9 p.m., and to make a reservation, call (478) 994-3081. Regular diners can still have their Waffle House fix because the counters will be open to walk-in customers, too.

Waffle House started the Valentine’s Day Dinner in 2008 in Johns Creek, Georgia, according to Southern Living. Around 200 Waffle Houses will be participating this year, according to a Sun Herald article

Woodall has hosted two Valentine’s Day Dinners in the past at different Waffle House locations. The couples start talking with each other, and he said it ends up being a community event.

“I’m sure they’ll have a great time,” he said.
