Alison Krauss is coming to the Macon City Auditorium. Here’s how to get tickets.

Bluegrass singer and Grammy winner Alison Krauss is set to perform a concert in Macon this summer.

The performance will be held at the Macon City Auditorium on Saturday, June 6, at 8 p.m.

Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday and can be purchased online or at the Macon Coliseum’s box office, according to a news release. Tickets start at $65.

Krauss, who sang “Whiskey Lullaby” with Brad Paisley and recorded a cover of “When You Say Nothing At All” in a tribute album to Keith Whitley, has won 27 Grammy awards, nine Country Music Association awards and 14 International Bluegrass Music Association Awards, according to the release.

Her latest solo album, “Windy City,” received two Grammy nominations and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Top Bluegrass Albums charts, according to the release.

“Windy City” is Krauss’s first solo album since her 1999 album “Forget About It,” and Ann Powers said the album, “shows off her intelligence and good humor in versions of classic songs that are delightfully down to earth” in a review for National Public Radio.

The album was produced by Buddy Cannon, who has produced albums for Kenny Chesney, John Michael Montgomery and Joe Nichols.

Krauss has released 14 albums since 1985 including five solo albums. When she began playing fiddle at the age of five, she quickly fell in love with bluegrass and signed her first record deal at the age of 14 with Rounder Records, according to the release.
