Calendar of Middle Georgia arts and entertainment events from Dec. 13

Handmade Holiday

Features original works by regional artists, curated for the gifting season. Choose from pottery, ornaments, jewelry, scarves and more. Light refreshments will be served at opening reception 5-8 p.m. Dec. 6.. Presented by Macon Arts Alliance at Macon Arts Gallery, 486 First St., Macon.

Children’s Christmas Tea

The decorated main rooms of the Hay House will be the backdrop for a range of activities for young children: Holiday readings in the Music Room by some of our city’s best storytellers, an elaborate demonstration in the dining room of making a gingerbread house, a Christmas craft in the old kitchen and a visit with Santa where photos will be taken. Presented by Hay House at 934 Georgia Ave., Macon.

$25 per child (12 and younger) and one accompanying adult. $50 family rate for up to five people, reservations required. 2-4 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. Dec. 15.

Cookies And Cocoa With Santa

Get in the Christmas spirit with food truck treats, local vendor gifts, Christmas carols, free cookies and cocoa and free Santa photos. Presented by Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce at Amerson River Park, 2600 Riverview Road, Macon.

Christmas in Downtown

No matter what the temperature, there will be snow at Rosa Parks Square, along with music, free pictures with Santa, carolers, cider, and more. Shop the Holiday Market from 2-6 p.m. for unique, last minute gifts. Presented by Just Tap’d, Main Street Macon and NewTown Macon at Just Tap’d, 488 First St., Macon.

Main Street Christmas Light Extravaganza

Witness the magic of Christmas with 500,000 dazzling lights that dance in time to music produced by Macon Pops. Presented by NewTown Macon and Macon Pops at downtown Macon.

Pictures with the Grinch

The most famous greenie-meanie from Dr. Seuss’ Christmas tale will stop in for pictures and treats. Bring your camera. Presented by Golden Bough Bookstore at 371 Cotton Ave., Macon.

Harry Potter Yule Ball

Grab your dancing shoes and a partner for a nerdy karaoke night featuring DJB3. There’s a great playlist and requests will be taken all night. Grab special Harry Potter themed drinks throughout the night as well. Presented by Reboot Retrocade & Bar at 566 Cherry St., Macon.

The Met Opera Live in HD “ The Magic Flute ” Holiday Encore

Celebration Dance

Ocmulgee Arts open house

”Shrek the Musical”

Nutcracker of Middle Georgia

Cottage Christmas

O’Tis The Season
