Local restaurants continue to serve takeout, carryout and delivery only despite eased coronavirus regulations

Despite Gov. Brian Kemp’s order allowing for restaurants to reopen their dining rooms with strict guidelines, many of the local Macon restaurants have decided to continue to do delivery and takeout only to help cut down on the spread of COVID-19.

NewTown Macon has provided a list of the following downtown restaurant that are currently offering these services. Emily Hopkins the Director of Place and Main Street Macon Manager, said that the restaurants have done a good job with the shift to takeout and delivery services to continue to serve their customers throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.

“Downtown Macon’s restaurants adapted quickly and efficiently to the new normal brought on by COVID-19,” Hopkins said. “They prioritized the safety of their customers and employees by implementing curbside pick-up systems that offer a contactless way to support small businesses.”

If you own or work for a restaurant in the Middle Georgia area that is offering takeout and delivery only options, email us at breaking@macon.com to be added to this list. Telegraph staff will expand this list as we receive more information.
