YOUR SAY: Iran has already broken the nuclear deal
One writer to The Telegraph wonders why the Unites States is getting all hot and bothered about Iran getting nuclear weapons when plenty of other nuclear-armed countries have or have had highly questionable leadership, countries like Pakistan, Russia, China and North Korea. In the 70 years since the end of World War II, no country has used their nuclear arsenal against another country, so what are we worried about?
Well, there is a simple explanation for our avoidance thus far of nuclear war. It’s called M.A.D. -- mutually assured destruction. Even the most bellicose country has realized that using their nukes would assure that their own country would sustain a devastating nuclear retaliation is response.
Enter Iran. For the first time, the world faces the prospect of a nuclear-armed country headed by religious fanatics -- men who believe they have a moral obligation to conquer the world in the name of Islam. They openly plan to take out Israel while they use the billions of dollars gained from Obama’s “legacy deal” to beef up terrorism in the Middle East and recruit and send terrorists to America. When they feel their nuclear build-up is sufficient, they will strike the United States. They can’t be bribed or befriended because theirs is a Holy Quest. Mutually assured destruction only energizes them to take one for the Islamic team.
And forget about the Iran deal buying 15 years before they nuke up. The world powers haven’t even signed off on the deal yet and Iran has already broken the treaty’s requirement to wait five years before they can acquire ballistic missiles and conventional weapons. Their recent agreement to buy a highly sophisticated missile defense shield system from Russia shreds any hope that they can be militarily threatened in the future. Once the shield system is installed, it will simply be that much more difficult, dangerous and ineffective to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities. And what is the projected date for the installation of this shield? The end of the year. This year.
Israel is in a torturous position. If they wait longer than a couple of months to bomb Iran’s facilities, their nation is on the fast track to be obliterated. Iran has openly bragged that they will “finish” the job that the Holocaust started. If Israel does decide to bomb, don’t look for America to help. The president’s “legacy deal” promises that the U.S. will help Iran if anyone messes with Iran before they are officially caught breaking the deal. But hey! They already broke the deal by their weapons acquisitions from Russia didn’t they?
Forget about it. Barack Obama is president. Red lines are meant to be ignored. He and the Democratic Party own this mess of a deal and they signed off on it solely to dump the coming disaster on the next president. Iran threatened all through negotiations with us to slit our throats. This deal buys them the knife.
