Makes sense

As our “Inspector Clouseau” FBI and Homeland Security“professionals search for the rabid Orlando nightclub killer’s “motivation,” ponder these facts.

▪ Omar Mateen was 29 when he was killed. That means:

▪ He was a Muslim for 29 years.

▪ He was a Democrat for 11 years.

▪ He was a semi-automatic rifle owner for about two weeks.

So, naturally our elite leaders tell us that scary looking guns are what caused the tragic slaughter. No, never look at a possible radical Muslim connection or a connection to the Democratic Party, that would be a waste of time, so we are lectured.

Seeing how we live in a time where good is evil and up is down and truth is lies, then liberal logic should explain all. Basically that means that we should disarm law abiding citizens because defending oneself against terrorists is worse than dying in an attack. Also it is morally superior for a woman to submit to rape than defend herself. More “Gun free zones” are necessary to prevent mass killings, since no one will be armed in these zones (like the Pulse club, theaters, schools, etc.) And above all, we must ban all black rifles. That will solve nearly everything until full confiscation is accomplished.

Find the problem

Paul Whitley says, “A nation that does nothing about the rising tide of gun violence within its borders is not a great nation.” He skipped a step. I say, to the extent we have that rising tide of gun violence, we are not a great nation. Great nations have great citizens who don’t go around shooting people. Find the problem, the weakness and address that the way a great nation would. Gun control simply adds power to the problem elements at the expense of the great citizens. You want a great nation of great citizens, right?

Running for high office

Erick Erickson should know that Donald Trump is not running for president of heaven. He is running for president of the United States.

Orange barrel hazard

Is there anyone other than myself who is very annoyed by all the orange barrels along the roads in Houston and Peach counties? So many barrels for such a long period of time with very little to no road work being done. One night as I was driving home from work at 11p.m. apparently there was a barrel partially in the road and I did not see it and hit it. The barrel bounced up and knocked the passenger side mirror off my car. Thanks to the nice folks at Gore's Auto Repair in Warner Robins, I got a new mirror installed for a reasonable price.

I'm thankful I only lost a mirror as it could have been my windshield instead. Just wanted to warn everyone about this hazard. Be careful when driving in those areas.
