Nothing Trump can do

A Trump presidency would be a failure, as he has promised to "Make America great again." Almost 200 years ago, the French author Alexis de Tocqueville wrote: "America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great." The Prophet Jeremiah also described this country when he wrote, "Were they ashamed because of the abomination they have done? They were not even ashamed at all; they did not even know how to blush."

Our "progressive" society has "advanced" us away from what was good in America, and that will keep us from once again being great. What was once not even discussed in public is now championed from the rooftops. There is no sense of "ought not," and America has forgotten how to blush. And there is nothing Trump can do about it.

I weep for my grandchildren and the world they will end up inheriting from this generation.
