The Nobel goes to ...
It started with little but expensive teasers. But, for a multi-national corporation, even these little blurbs costs millions of dollars. Then came the announcement, a multi-media blitz that cost millions of dollars and promises to consume more as the targets of this exercise in corporate horn-tooting reach for the radio knob or the remote.
And what is behind this latest McDonald’s cannonade? Had they discovered a cure for cancer or heart disease? Did their food scientists solved the problem of worldwide hunger or even figure out how to make the Big Mac as tasty as the slogan “Two-all-beef-patties-special-sauce-lettuce-cheese-pickles-onions-on-a-sesame-seed-bun,” implies?
Well, sadly no. All these millions of dollars, all that effort and the mind numbingly dumb commercials are because, wait for it ... McDonald’s has figured out how to fry an egg after 10:30 a.m. Now, is that impressive or what?
Where is the Nobel committee when we need them?

Think about it
I disagree with Dr. Bill Cummings. Jesus was not an illiterate Jewish peasant. He was a highly astute individual who had a tremendous understanding of human nature. He understood to whom he was preaching, ordinary Jews. He did not preach revolution. He preached individual responsibility and the awareness of others. He expressed his message through the use of parables, metaphors and analogizes that were readily understood by his followers. I wish that present day preachers would spend more time discussing Jesus’ core values instead of consecrating their sermons on sin, social ills and church expansion.
I do not care that the scrolls containing Jesus’ teachings were not written until 70 AD. I do not care if they were first written in Aramaic then translated to Greek, then to Latin and finally into English. I do not care that all of the scrolls containing Jesus’ teachings were not incorporated into the Bible. I do not care that Jesus’ initial followers were Jews who thought of his message in terms of their Jewish religion. I do not care that a Jew spread Jesus’ message to Gentiles worldwide. I do not care if Paul had disagreements with the Jesus-Jews. I do not care that Rome became the center of Christianity.
It does not matter to which denomination we belong. It does not matter if we don’t go to church every Sunday. The important thing is that we adhere to Jesus’ message. I believe Bill’s goal is to enlighten us. He presents information. We do not have to accept it, but we should think about it.

Morally principled wimps
President Barack H. Obama told a gathering of lesbians, gays, bisexuals and trans-genders in New York’s Gotham Hall Sept. 28, “Religious freedom isn’t a good or acceptable reason to deny other Americans their constitution rights.”
The Constitution does not give Americans the right to defy the laws of nature; nor the right to force citizens to cater to the perverted sexual cravings of others, nor does it give government officials the power to force Americans to accommodate such craving.
Obama and the Democrats unlocked Pandora’s Box when they approved homosexuals serving openly in the military; opened it with their support of same-sex marriages and five morally and spiritually bankrupted Supreme Court justices tore the lid off when they sanctioned it; releasing a depraved sexual parasite upon America’s soul. They also, unconstitutionally, gave homosexuals the power to force Americans to violate their religious beliefs and moral principles to service their perverted sexual desires, or face the wrath of bureaucrats.
Unified civil-disobedience (Acts 5:29) can reverse this. But Christian leaders and their congregations have never been aggressive defenders of Christianity or God — they’re accommodators and morally principled Americans are proven wimps. But they’re all great at cheering as the lone aggressive defender of Christianity, the Constitution and American’s moral values (Kentuckian Kim Davis) can attest to.
So Christians and the morally principled resign yourself to aiding and abetting active homosexuals whose perverted sexual appetite violate the laws of nature, defiles the Constitution and slaps the face of God.

When the trouble started?
In relation to professor of education, David A. Gamson’s article. In my opinion, trouble with our teachers and education system began long before 1994 recognition by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization and established World Teachers’ Day. It started with the federal government’s racial quota integration enforcement of students and teachers in our public schools.
Freedom of choice would have eventually worked itself out as offered in my county until the NAACP filed a lawsuit against us for not being fully racial integrated. You cannot transform an entire school system overnight as we attempted in the USA. Congress did not take into consideration transformation necessary as to each state’s and their county’s educational status of students, programs and teachers.
Integration disrupted the learning process of students and teachers operating on different same grade, same subject educational levels and overnight threw them into higher levels for some and lower levels for others. In doing so, lower standards were set in order to remedy discrimination lawsuits filed by parents and the NAACP due to little Johnny who was passing fourth grade in his prior school but could not sustain fourth grade requirements of his transfer school.
Also, junior high and high school students participating in sports became a big problem, causing them to rebel against school staff. With such chaos, teachers and administrators lost control of schools and discipline due to fear of additional lawsuits if students were punished. Further, public school integration disrupted educational standards of black college graduates versus those of white college graduates. Georgia’s teacher’s exam had lower standards for some in order to be certificated to teach.
Now after all of this, government threw thousands of Spanish only speaking students at our teachers and said here, teach them. What does one expect of teachers? They thought passing No Child Left Behind would suffice the infiltration of Spanish versus English speaking students. Just like with integration, Congress realized their mistake, therefore they had to blame others and started demanding teachers go every five years to refresh their teaching certificate. As to testing and being poor. I was certainly tested only over the taught subject matter to determined my educational progress. Also, being poor did not stop the school system from doing its job.
The federal government needs to turn the educational system at all levels including colleges over to each state. Parents also need to turn their students over to school staff, but participate in their educational process. States can handle any and all juvenile delinquency students and do away with social and racial promotion if the government would ban lawsuits. They can also test students, hire good certified teachers and staff if the government would banish racial quotas and all their divisive categories.
We need to forget about politics and only think about students’ education.

Others need to know
As John Brogden wrote, we need to find out about Benghazi. However, only after we investigate the killing of over 200 Marines under the Reagan administration. Those families deserve it also. Then we have the USS Cole. Of course these events took place under Republican administrations and Hillary did not have anything to do with them. The right-wing is so messed up right now they couldn’t investigate an overflow in the congressional men’s room.

Anti-Christian columnist?
I don’t remember seeing the official announcement, but apparently The Telegraph has designated Bill Cummings as its official ACC (anti-Christian columnist). The Telegraph could even use the same title for each week’s column: “Bill Cummings’ Lame Attempts to Discredit the Bible.”
In his latest rant Cummings seems to think he has stumbled upon a new discovery that discredits the Bible. As with his other columns, the latest is just more smokescreen that he hopes will cover up the real issue. Anytime someone attacks the Bible as the word of God there is one underlying reason.
The Bible teaches that all people are sinners and will be held accountable to God for their sins. If you will not admit your sinfulness then you will face the terrifying judgment of a holy God. Thankfully, God has made provision through his son Jesus Christ. If you reject the Bible then you reject the only truth that leads to the salvation of our souls. I fully expect The Telegraph to reject this letter as the PC police will deem it too offensive, but at least one person will have read it and will no longer have an excuse.
