Looking for another reason

As I read the tragic headlines about Vester L. Flanagan II killing two WDBJ-TV journalists while they were on air, on Aug. 26, I wondered just how the scurrilous, spin-machine media would handle such a situation? I mean from the photos I saw, it looked as if the shooter was African-American and the reporters were white. We have sampled enough reporting of white on black shootings to predict the response accurately, but just how do you find a liberal way around this most recent scenario?

Well, it did not take good ol’ CNN long to report that the shooter’s murderous motivation stemmed from the Charleston shootings. Aha, there we have it. Why the shooting of the two journalists in Roanoke was not really -- not totally -- the fault of Flanagan at all. No sir, it was all because of a skinny, insane white kid in South Carolina. I am so glad they cleared that up for me. Now, I understand. I guess justice, as they define it, was done.

The reference to South Carolina came from a 23-page fax Flanagan sent to ABC News after the shooting.

All about Trump, really?

David B. Conner claims to know all about Donald Trump and the people he knows. Trump is merely echoing what most U.S. citizens want and are saying about immigration. The Democrats and Republicans are not brave enough to represent what its citizenry is needing and demanding. His letter goes on to say that if one breaks the speed limit or one of the Ten Commandments, which is God’s law, then one is no better than those who cross the border illegally. Really?

Will these illegal aliens look for, find work and become model U.S. citizens as Conner believes? No. I believe a great number of them come to have their anchor babies, get all our free benefits of health care, welfare, SSI etc. After they are here they will vote for Democrats to ensure their free benefits will continue.

Conner compares illegal Immigrants to what the Nazis did to the Jews. Are you kidding? Did not Mary (pregnant with Jesus) and Joseph go to Bethlehem to be registered? They were obeying Caesar’s proclamation. Would Conner suggest that if some people didn’t go for registration then why should Mary and Joseph have gone?

Conner goes on to use many derogatory words/statements to describe Trump. Conner is out of touch with reality while Trump continues to surge in the polls.

Deport them all

What part of illegal do liberals not understand? The way to deport millions of illegals from this country is the same way our police force captures criminals -- one at a time. If we don’t deport them, we might as well open the prisons and let all the criminals out. America, wake up and stop sending these “do nothing but talk politicians” back in office. In my opinion a career politician is nothing more than a thug in a suit. I thank God that I don’t have any family or friends in political office. Remove all incumbents and maybe America can recover.

Speak out

I am amazed that the news media is aghast at the fact Donald Trump has so much support in his run for president. The thing I see as a conservative is what former Gov. Zell Miller said, “There is a deficit of decency in the United States today. Washington D.C. (Doesn’t Care).” The Bush family and the Clintons aren’t satisfied with leaving a legacy, they want a dynasty. The average American is tired and fed up with the direction this country is headed. Political correctness has eaten away at our values. Let parents do their job. Let teachers teach. Let the working man and woman earn a living they can live on. Stop the welfare state.

With all due respect to our current president, enough is enough. If you hate America don’t destroy it, let us have it back. George Soros take your money and move back to Germany and quit trying to start unrest between blacks and whites. Whomever is trying to delete history, stop. Things have happened and you can’t change that -- World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the twin towers -- these things did happen. If we don’t remember them we are destined to repeat failure. Wake up America, claim back our country the way the founders meant it to be. The silent majority needs to speak out.

“You’re fired’

A year or so ago, I had been working in the yard. I was hot and tired, so I quit and went into the house. I plopped down onto my recliner. I reached over and got my TV remote and flipped it on. I looked at the picture and there was a mean looking guy with hate in his eyes. He was pointing his finger at me and said “you’re fired.” It shocked me. I grabbed the remote and shut it down in seconds.

I noticed this guy running for president and it looked just like that guy on TV that fired me a while back. So now I know it was Donald Trump. I hope we are not in trouble.

New ceremony

The Episcopal Church will begin performing same-sex wedding ceremonies in their churches in November of this year. Will the Episcopal Church also allow wedding ceremonies for polygamists? If not, why not?
